Xtract One SmartGateway Listed on the NPSA Catalogue of Security Equipment

Xtract One SmartGateway has been added to the National Protective Security Authority’s Catalogue of Security Equipment, the UK government’s official listing of tested and approved security products for use across public and private sector facilities.

The NPSA listing confirms SmartGateway’s classification as a Discriminative Metal Detection system, tested against the DMD Systems Test Method October 2020. The listing covers SmartGateway’s detection capabilities across mass casualty threats, large firearms, IEDs, and knives, as well as its suitability for high-footfall environments where individuals carry personal belongings without divestment.

The NPSA Catalogue is used by security professionals, venue operators, and government facilities across the UK to identify approved and tested security equipment. Inclusion on the list supports venues working toward compliance with Martyn’s Law, formally the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025, which places counter-terrorism protective security requirements on venues with 800 or more capacity.
